ULTIMATE COWBOY RACE. POINT-TIME EVENT. RANCH-LIKE CHALLENGES FOR YOU AND YOUR HORSE

Ultimate Cowboy Race - Sunday, September 10, 2006

The Ultimate Cowboy Race, a point-time event, which is part of Restoration Ministries in association with Cowboy Junction will be held Sunday, September 10^th, 2:00 pm, at the Mike and Debbie Kessel Ranch near Bluejacket.

The Ultimate Cowboy Race is a horse event, similar to an obstacle course, with challenges that replicate those experienced on a ranch.  Some challenges in the race include: mail box, bridge walk, log walk over, walk-trot-lope-backup, and move calf to a pen.  Participants receive points for each challenge they complete and the runs are timed.

Adult challenges will include some more difficult feats such as: lope right and left lead, pond cross, ride thru hay ring, and pull calf from pen.

July Ultimate Cowboy Race Winners: Adult - Matt Fullbright, Welch, Oklahoma and Youth – Kelsey Anderson, Bluejacket, Oklahoma.

Youth class entries are $5.00 each with divisions of 7 – 10 years, 11 – 14 years, and 15 – 17 years.  Adult class entries are $15.00 each, 18 and up.  Entries must show up by 1:00 pm as slots are limited.

Everyone is invited to bring lawn chairs to watch.  There will be concessions with homemade ice cream and beverages.
