It was raining over west, so Greg and Chance took the opportunity to drive over Saturday afternoon to pick up their dog in training, Penny.  They picked a great day as we were cool and overcast most of the time.

Ben worked Penny for a bit, then Greg took over.  We spent the rest of the time around the kitchen table with iced tea and peach pie.

Jeff Hill and Shawna Johnson,

Well, Jeff owns and operates J Bar H Farm and Cattle Co., Cameron, Oklahoma.  Shawna hails from Columbus, Indiana and was down for a quick visit.  Jeff is also a PRCA bulldogger and Shawna is a professional barrel racer.

Jeff has been using Kelpies on the ranch for several years.  His dogs are getting older and he's starting to look around for replacements.  They drove up Saturday morning the 13th.

We worked several dogs for them and found out more about Jeff's operation - 1500 yearlings at a time and about 500 momma cows.  He realized some time ago that his good dog saves him from hiring 2 - 3 more hired hands.
